She's a bit goofy, fond of sleeping on her back and making snarling noises when attacking a chew toy. She's extremely bright, having figured out at a very early age the hypnotic properties of her eyes, and the ability to conjure tasty food off of a plate with the power of her mind. She is fearless, taking on all comers, including Great Danes and Doberman Pinschers. She's never been attacked by a bigger dog, probably because they don't see her as any kind of threat. She loves to sleep with a person, on a nice soft bed with pillows and arms to burrow under.

Meet Daisy.

Daisy is, physically, everything a proper dachshund should be. Her form is perfect, she's a hound through and through except for one thing. She's a coward. She is an absolute dyed-in-the-wool wussie. At the simple suggestion of a larger dog she will scream like a girl and hide under something. She is the yang to Rosie's yin. She is laconic, easygoing, floppy, and easy to please. She never rushes. If she's in a hurry to get to the food bowl, she'll step her pace up from a mosey to a brisk amble.

Rosie and Daisy love to tussle. They do it all day, punctuating the match with ferocious snarls and squeals that, to the uninitiated, sound like some sort of Tasmanian love-fest.

Sometimes it ends up looking like a love-fest...

So that's the introduction of Weinerdog Bliss. I will continue to post comments and photos about these goofy little dogs who are giving this household so much love and entertainment.
